Day 1: So it begins.

Day 1: 25th of June 2010

Planned time to leave home: 7am

Actually time left home: 10am

Traveling from Wangaratta Victoria to Renmark South Australia.

So today began like all our family vacations, late.

I was on the first driving shift.

Driving was well, boring. I kept on getting distracted so we changed and Mum took over. Music for this trip though started off great thankfully, I love my iTunes, listening to some Death Cab, Lady Gaga (which I have now discovered my Mum actually really likes) and a bit of Short Stack (don't judge).

I was also able to visit Gabby, I left her a bow.

It rained and my gosh did it pour!

I went to Swan hill and was disappointed by the lack of both Swans or Hills. Everything is so.... flat. I'm used to being surrounded by mountains but this really is different. I was not disappointed by the lack of eye candy on the streets of Renmark when we came through tonight before finding our hotel. Which is really nice, it's a Country Club, I chortled at this fact.

And I drove again. I have today been in 3 states and I have driven 4+ hours.

I'm going on a adventure...

So today I set out on a two week adventure to the unknown, well to me it is at least, I heading to Alice Springs and all the sights along the way. My fellow travellers are my Mother and my younger brother and sister. I'm creating this blog as to share the experience with you. So please sit back, relax in your desk chair, grab a glass of water and enjoy what I hope to be is something to remember...

Since last time I went this way I was a little young to remember.
